Construction of the new cash centre of the National Bank of Belgium
Construction of a new, highly secure building for the National Bank of Belgium for the management, processing and storage of banknotes and coins.
Located in Zellik, the 3.7 ha building site was previously used as a warehouse.
The built-up area comprises three buildings:
For security reasons, the “secure core” has minimal openings. The administration building, on the other hand, will be largely glazed.
This new state-of-the-art infrastructure will largely automate the logistical process of putting euro banknotes into circulation.
This project is being carried out in association with CIT Blaton.
