Description
This project consisted of building a new general hospital on the site of the former Patience and Beaujonc collieries, which included the clinics Saint-Joseph, de l’Espérance and Saint-Vincent de Liège, which are now closed.
In total, the new CHC MontLégia comprises 720 beds for traditional hospitalisation and 120 day places. The building consists of a medico-technical building and two hospitalization wings, one for mother-child services, the other for adult services.
While the delivery of this new hospital was planned to coincide with the first wave of the coronavirus that Belgium had to face in the first half of 2020, our teams worked hard to bring the date forward so that the health staff would have the best conditions to face this unprecedented challenge.
